...Stipple is a meticulous process of applying countless dots to create tone in a piece of art..most people who know me well are surprised that I possess such a fastidious nature...but working on these drawings feeds a certain part of my psyche...it's a very meditative process..time is suspended and the whole scale of reality is reduced...one of the things that I like about this process is that when you focus on a small portion of the drawing you will find minute patterns almost like you are looking at a seperate piece of abstract art...then when you pull back you get something entirely different...one of my art teachers once told me that there are no lines in nature just one form rubbing up against another..this process illustrates this point very well .....don't try this at home but if you do make a lot of coffee
