McDONALDLAND JOURNAL ART.....................
......I started my journals because back in the day I was trying to save my marriage by finding the cheapest marriage counselor in the classified section of the Village Voice...after two or three visits my wife decides she no longer wants to go...but because it's such a bargain I kept going solo...at one session it was suggested that I should keep a journal of my feelings...the marriage couldn't be saved but I saved the journals...all forty years worth of em...my journals have come a long way since those early days..a lot more strange and subversive...perhaps I too have become more strange and subversive...these journals became for me a way of looking at the world through a funhouse mirror..where everything was distorted and beautiful...these pages taught me the lesson of spontaneity...to think less and always keep the pen moving ....I think some of my most creative work came from these pages
